We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, and payment information when you create an account and subscribe. We also collect usage data including practice session results, time spent on questions, skill mastery levels, and platform interaction patterns.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the theSATfix platform; generate personalized study plans and recommendations; track your progress and mastery across skills; process payments and manage subscriptions; send important account notifications; and analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve our content.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your personal information.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with: payment processors to handle transactions; analytics services (in anonymized, aggregate form); and law enforcement when required by law. All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements.
5. Student Privacy (FERPA)
theSATfix is committed to FERPA compliance. Student education records are treated with the highest level of confidentiality. We act as a school official with legitimate educational interest when integrated with educational institutions. See our Student Data Policy for more details.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Practice data and mastery records are retained to provide continuous learning analytics. After account deletion, we remove personal information within 30 days, though anonymized aggregate data may be retained.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; export your data in a portable format; and opt out of non-essential communications. Contact privacy@thesatfix.com to exercise these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
theSATfix is designed for students aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email. The date of the most recent revision is indicated at the top of this page.
